MEETCHEF ILIA
Ever since Ilia was a young girl, she had a deep fascination with good food and nutrition and its connection to maintaining a healthy body or healing oneself back to health. This fascination lead her to study cooking for health and wellness.
A certified healing through food specialist, supportive chef, culinary instructor, writer, and speaker who help clients and does food demos/tastings around the New York tri-state area. Ilia has wholeheartedly embraced the concept of “Food is Medicine” and continuously shares her knowledge of healing the body through food with everyone she comes in contact with. She continues to learn about which are the most nutritious foods to incorporate into one’s diet for specific situations and diverse medical conditions. Culinary Nutrition is a new fascinating science that links food with illness and your good health.
Culinary Studies:
Her culinary journey began at the Natural Kitchen School, a vegan based cooking school that specializes in gourmet style vegan cookery. This was followed by the prestigious Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts’ 619 hour chef training program in NYC. In addition, she attended The Matthew Kenney Academy in Oklahoma for learning how to prepare gourmet style raw cuisine.
Nutrition Studies:
Her nutrition journey commenced at The Global College of Natural Medicine in Santa Cruz, California. This was followed by additional training which lead to becoming a board-certified nutritional consultant through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. She obtained an MS in Integrative Health and Healing from The Graduate Institute in Bethany, Connecticut.
